In order to successfully transfer your domain name to Sasahost Ltd, kindly follow the following procedure;

• Unlock the domain name if it’s currently locked. If your domain is unlocked, it shows status as “OK”. However, if it is locked, it will show status as “Client Transfer Prohibited”.
• Change the Administrative Email contact and Registrant Email contact to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . Leave the other details such as Registrant Name and Address unchanged.
• Change the Name servers to the ones provided by Sasahost.
• If Whois Privacy/ID protection is currently enabled, disable it.
• Generate a Transfer Authorization Code (EPP Code)

Note:

• If you do not have access to your domain control panel to change the above details, kindly ask your current Registrar to make the changes for you.
• If you are transferring a .KE Domain e.g .CO.KE you don’t have to follow all the above procedure. Simply ask your current Registrar to unlock the domain (if locked) and generate an EPP Code. If the Registrar asks for a Transfer Form, download it here. Transfer of a .KE Domain takes approximately 2 minutes. Transfer of all other tlds and gtlds for example .com can take 7-10 days to complete. However, during this period your domain name will be functioning normally provided the name servers are changed to point to us as advised above. The only downtime might be during DNS propagation (after changing the name servers) and this can take up to 24 hours.
• If you are also transferring your Website and Emails to Sasahost, we advise you to handle this hosting transfer before you start domain name transfer. If your current Web host uses cPanel, we can assist you in moving your entire Hosting Account. Simply send us your current cpanel login details once you’ve made your hosting order via our website and your account is activated. If you don’t currently Host on cpanel, you will have to manually download the files from your current Web Host and re-upload to your new account at Sasahost. Once you test your transferred files and verify that everything is okay, you can now proceed with Domain Transfer following the steps outlined above.
